History
The institution’s roots go back to 1930 when it opened as the Constantine Technical College to serve the engineering and industrial needs of the region. In 1969 it became Teesside Polytechnic, and later, in 1992, it achieved university status. In 2009 it adopted the name Teesside University alongside a re-brand.
